Privacy Policy

v2026-06-04

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Solvend ("Solvend", "we", "us"), a team-matching platform operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website and services.

This document is provided in both Greek and English. The English version is offered for your convenience; for users in the Greek market, the Greek-language version prevails in the event of any discrepancy.

This policy was last updated on 2026-06-04. We may update it from time to time, and material changes will be communicated as described in the "Changes to this policy" section below.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller responsible for your personal data is [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], with registered address at [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ([COUNTRY OF INCORPORATION]), registration / VAT number [VAT / REGISTRATION NUMBER].

If you have any question about this policy or about how your personal data is handled, you can contact us at info@socait.com.

What data we collect

Account data: the email address you register with and, where you choose Google sign-in, the basic profile information Google returns (name and email). We do not receive your Google password.

Profile data: the information you add to your Solvend profile, such as your display name, role, skills, location and any biography or links you provide.

Project and application data: the projects you post, the applications you submit to other projects, and related content you create on the platform.

Messages: the content of messages you exchange with other members through the in-app messaging feature.

Billing metadata: for Solvend Pro subscribers we store billing metadata returned by Stripe, such as your customer and subscription identifiers, plan, trial and renewal dates, and payment status. Solvend never stores your full card number — card details are entered directly with Stripe and handled solely by Stripe.

Technical data: limited data necessary to operate the service securely, such as authentication session information and essential cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

How we use your data and our legal bases

To provide the service — creating and securing your account, displaying your profile, matching you with projects and teams, and enabling messaging. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

To operate Solvend Pro — managing subscriptions, trials, renewals and payments through Stripe. Legal basis: performance of a contract.

To keep the service safe and reliable — preventing abuse, fraud and security incidents, and maintaining the integrity of the platform. Legal basis: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

To meet legal obligations — for example retaining billing records as required by tax and accounting law. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

We do not use your personal data for advertising profiling, and we do not sell your personal data.

Sub-processors and international transfers

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers (sub-processors) to operate Solvend. Each processes personal data only on our instructions and under appropriate contractual safeguards.

Our database, authentication and uploaded files are hosted with Supabase in a European Union region, so this data is stored within the EU.

Some providers are located outside the EU, in the United States. Where personal data is transferred to such providers, the transfer is governed by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) together with appropriate technical and organisational measures.

Our current sub-processors are:

Supabase — Database, authentication & file storage. Location: European Union. Transfer basis: EU hosting region.

Vercel — Application hosting & content delivery. Location: USA. Transfer basis: EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Stripe — Subscription billing & payment processing. Location: USA / EU. Transfer basis: EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Google — Optional Google sign-in (OAuth). Location: USA. Transfer basis: EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We review this list when our providers change and will update this policy accordingly.

How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service.

If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise the personal data associated with it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain information to comply with legal obligations — for example, billing and invoice records required by tax law are kept for the period mandated by applicable legislation.

Backups are retained for a limited time on a rolling basis and are overwritten in the ordinary course of operations.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have inaccurate data rectified, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive your data in a portable format.

You can exercise the most common rights directly from your account: visit the in-app Settings page at /settings, where "Download my data" provides a portable export and "Delete account" erases your account and associated personal data.

For any other request, or if you need help, contact us at info@socait.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — for example the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus, or the Hellenic Data Protection Authority in Greece.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and reliance on reputable infrastructure providers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to address any incident promptly and responsibly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves or as legal requirements change.

When we make material changes we will update the "last updated" date (currently 2026-06-04) and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of Solvend after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
